THE ANTIQUES ARE CALLING US

We have had several calls from women wanting to sell us antiques that we can then sell at our sales events. They want to sell us the family treasures that have been passed down to them. All of them have a similar story of having collected family heirlooms that their children, the next generation, do not want. Their children are not into "old things" even if they are "family heirlooms" with a "family history". So their hope is that they can find someone that will at least appreciate these treasures.

In the past we have turned down most of them. Gently. We have been afraid of offending them by offering them too low a price because we also need to be able to turn around and then sell them at another  reasonable price. So we had kind of a "policy" about that. We usually find our treasures by hunting for them at Estate sales, garage sales, thrift stores, and auctions. And we are looking for the bargains! Sometimes that takes a lot of hunting! But the "antiques" keep calling us!

So now we are re-thinking that policy. We've decided there must be solution for all of us in this! So we're going to pursue this and see where it takes us. We'll also still be on the hunt for stuff, however!
