MY FALL/AUTUMN BUCKET LIST

I'm now ready to fully embrace FALL! It took me a while longer this time because the summer seemed so short. Having a big snow storm in May might have added to the desire to prolong summer. I know many of you have been "into Fall" about a month now. Yeah, I'm getting a late start. But just to make sure Fall doesn't come and go without embracing all the beautiful things Fall has to offer, I'm making a FALL/AUTUMN BUCKET LIST.
Here are a few things on my list:

                                                  Buy some Mums
Take a drive and enjoy the Fall colors
                                                  Walk through the woods
Make apple pie and apple crisp
                                                  Decorate for Fall

Roast marshmallows over the fire pit
                                                  Bring out the sweaters
Tailgate party at a football game
Rake leaves and jump into them ( or let the grandkids jump into them)

Bring out the ginger, cinnamon, and pumpkin scented candles
                                   Make bread and butter pickles
                                   Buy some pumpkins and bittersweet
Go to the Fall Farmer's Market

Go to the Fall Junk Bonanza
                                                    Make chili and corn muffins
                                                    Make caramel apples
                                                   Make caramel corn

One more thing...It wouldn't be Fall without taking my Mom to a church lutefisk dinner...a    Scandinavian tradition  with all the many Norwegians and Swedes here in Minnesota.

So what's on YOUR Fall Bucket List?

FALL DECOR AND GATHERING OF FRIENDS

I just wanted to share some fall decor photos from the home of my friend, Caryl. She lives in a beautifully renovated farm house  in the country and is very talented in decorating her home. I'm hoping she'll let me share more photos of her home in the future...maybe Christmas, Caryl? ( haha, get it ? )
We had a gathering there  recently with great food, good friends, and much side-splitting laughter!

The photos were actually taken by my friend, Sherrie, because I forgot my camera. Thanks, Sherrie!
This was in the front area outside of her house and was lit with little orange bulbs.

BACHMAN'S FALL IDEA HOUSE

Pumpkin Man holding basket of apples.
Outdoor fireplace with pumpkins
Garden Hose made into a wreath.
"Window" with hot peppers
It was time for another outing with my good friend from high school, Christy! We met up at the Fall Idea House at Bachmans. The house took on the warm colors of Fall with  fun and whimsical old primitives repurposed into delightful decor! I took so many photos I'm going to break them up into two parts. Today, part one,  I'm sharing  some of the colorful and whimsical Fall decorations. In another post I'll share all the creative ways they repurposed" found items" into household treasures!
Pumpkin Lady.
Pumpkin owl.

Old sofa frame filled with fall flowers.

Window box with multi-colored flowers.

If you're near the Twin Cities in Minnesota you will want to stop in and see the unique ways they "refreshed" old items into useful furnishings. You can even purchase the one- of -a -kind vintage treasures!
