LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE

TODAY I'M GRATEFUL FOR THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER.

Laughter:
... acts like medicine and makes you feel better
... has no language barrier
... is contagious
... brings people closer together

If I want a good laugh I think of  something funny that has always made me laugh and I replay that in my mind.  I have one story of something that happened YEARS AGO that I  go back to again and again, replay in my mind, and I STILL find myself laughing hysterically! Of course, I look for new things to laugh about also. It also helps that our family members have a great sense of humor and we can laugh even at ourselves!

Join me in THANKS-LIVING and find things for which you are thankful and leave them here. I'll be doing this daily until Thanksgiving! Grab the button on the right and ask others to join!

  1. I am going to be a copy cat and say laughter too. I always save Americas funniest Home videos show for when I need a pick me up! And with all that has happened in the north east I have to say I am happy for electricity!

  2. It is interesting how laughter like hiccups is contagious. When I relax and let myself easily laugh, it becomes easier to laugh more freely about any little thing, and those around me laugh as well.

I am thankful for breakfast today beside a cozy fire.

    :) Hope

  3. Oh, Sandy, I LOVE this post! As soon as I saw that wonderful picture, I broke into a smile. How precious they are! I am one of those that loves to laugh!! I was on the phone with a dear friend of mine last night who is so dang funny! My husband finally went upstairs because I was being "too loud". Later on he said, "nothing could've been that funny." Oh, but it was! Thank you for making me smile!

  4. Laughter is an amazing gift, isn't it? My sister & I have been doing a lot of laughing lately and now we only have to look at each other when certain topics come up and we burst into laughter.Often times, when things are at tehri worst, friends & family can make each other laugh and smile in spite of circumstance, and I still marvel how that can lift the heart and make you feel better. And it is FREE !

Your laughing picture made me laugh. :)

I am posting about gratitude each day in November, too. I will be back to read your daily list.
