"STILL CELEBRATING FALL" TEA AND A GIVE-AWAY

I'm still hanging onto Fall... even though the Mall is all decked out for Christmas, we had the first snow fall of the year, and I'm giving away Christmas magazines for a Give-Away! (More about that later...)  I'm still staying focused on living thankfully and mindful of the present season of Autumn and all that it brings! No need to rush into winter...YET!

So I'm sharing this lovely tea set that, once again, came from my Grandmother.  I pulled some ivory, gold, and mango colored tea pieces together to celebrate Autumn. All the pieces are from England.
This teapot is a Sadler from England. I wasn't able to read the wording on the bottom of the sugar and creamer though it DOES say England. They are very delicate in ivory and shiny gold. I put the little sugar bowl in the back because I chipped it. ; (   I'm going to try and glue it together.

Here's a closer view of the tea pot with shimmering gold trim and pretty colored fruit.

The cup is gold and a Foley Bone China, again from England. This cup and saucer was given to me as a set but much to my surprise I found that the saucer is a Royal Stuart, Spencer Stevenson so not the same as the cup. It DOES, however, have the same shimmery gold and they look like they belong to each other. Here's a close-up of the saucer. Many of you out there are probably all familiar with these names but these are new to me.
The saucer doesn't look  here as shimmery as it actually is.

To add to the ambience I've added a mango colored rose.

Just thought I'd share the photo I tried to get of the cup and saucer  and then noticed my reflection in the shiny cup. It kind of ruined the shot but I thought I'd share it for the fun of  it.

There...that's better. I can't see myself in the cup.

I picked out some Organic Green Lemon Tea which my daughter and her husband brought from China, where they live. Yes, they live in China...on the other side of the world.  We miss them dearly but we thank God ( another thing I'm grateful for ) we have SKYPE! We get to see them and talk to them weekly at least. I just got off Facebook and my daughter and I instant messaged on there as well. So we ARE able to stay in touch...I'll be writing about their work there in another post.

I also had to have a little mango candle to add a sweet scent.

I had a lovely little tea and thought about all the wonderful memories of my grandmother. So that's my little tea set for today. Nothing sweet to eat because I'm trying to lose some weight.

  4. What a lovely fall tea! The fruit and gold trim on the teapot make it perfect for the season. I'm not ready to rush into winter either, but we have seen a few homes in the neighborhood with Christmas lights on them already. I LOVE Christmas, but this is too soon for me.

Do you know the age of the teacup? Mango Light and a rose so perfect. I'm rushing through cyberspace and drink a cup of green lemon tea with you. I wish you a great week! Zinnia

I love tea and tea sets and have had a post once about the ones I have.
I don't have any gold sets like yours which I like even if they don't match label wise they look great together and that tea pot is pretty. I am looking for a tea pot with roses on it
