RECREATING BLOGS, YOURSELF, AND YOUR LIFE

Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. George Bernard Shaw

Plummer House Fountain, one of two in the lower gardens
So here I am again creating myself anew. Well, creating my blog anew, anyway! If you have been a reader here for any length of time you will have noticed that I have changed thoughts on where this blog is going many times  over. I have gone down many paths with this blog, changed my mind umpteen times,  have had a hard time finding my "voice" here, and wondering where I wanted to take this blogging journey. If you are a blogger, can you relate? And if so, how did you finally decide the direction of your blog? Once and for all?

This blog began as a way to keep our Hob Nobber ( vintage occasional sales ) customers informed about our sales events and let them see the unique and fun treasures we would bring to our next sale! And while that goal will surely remain, I will now be bringing  more topics to the table...the kitchen table...over a cup of coffee...and maybe a cranberry croissant. Yeah, right now my thoughts keep moving towards "sweets", which I am trying to stay away from to rid myself of my sugar addiction and maybe lose a little weight.

OK, so to get back on topic... I am now hoping to share about creating yourself, as the quote above says. And creating a life that you'll love! Who doesn't want that?  I'll talk about simplifying, home decor, mind-body connection, the entrepreneurial life, organizing, and more. I'll continue to share FREE WORKSHOPS as shown in the "page" section above.

In the past I had tried to offer separate blogs about these topics but I could not keep up with more than one blog! Some of you can manage more than one blog but I couldn't do it and have a life outside of the internet. So now I will attempt to offer these topics in one blog...a sort of blogazine, if you will.

I hope you will follow along and bring your friends to my "kitchen table" for a chat. Right now I am in the middle of a workshop on " 7 Steps To Simplifying Your Life". You can find session one here, and session two here. The next session will be post #3 of 4 posts.

Occasionally I'll post about our adventures in living in an historical 49 room mansion where we work as Resident Directors in a home called the Plummer House. You can see information about it on my "Plummer House" page.

And I'll also give updates on my soon-to-be-opening Etsy shop, Gwen and Alma's. Updates will be shared on the Gwen and Alma page.

For those of you who are coming to our Hob Nobber Fall Sale, you can find the information about it on the right sidebar. You still have time to enter the Give-Away here.

Oh, and since I love quotes, I will be sharing a quote with every post to motivate, inspire, encourage, or just to spread a bit of sunshine.

Are you with me? To be sure you don't miss a post, you can subscribe to have them come to your inbox on the right  sidebar.

  1. Hi Sandy! Sounds good! I think you're wise to stick with one blog and give yourself a lot of freedom to create as you go.

    1. Most people don't even know that someone actually lives in the house! We've been here 25 years now...longer than the Plummers!
