FIVE FUN AND FABULOUS FINDS FRIDAY

I'm very busy getting ready for our sale this weekend but had already picked out my favorite finds for Friday. I hope you like them also and that you will check out these sites for more fun treasures! So here they are:

CHESTER THE BUNNY BY VINTAGE WHIMSY

I love folk art and came upon this site that features absolutely adorable, original folk art pieces. Whenever I find an artist or crafter whose work I like, I have a hard time choosing one piece to show here and it  happened again!  It was difficult to pick "just one" because I loved them all!  Each piece, made by Nancy Malay, has its own distinct characteristics and attention to detail that make it special.

Chester The Bunny ( above ) is holding a real wicker basket filled with red vintage velvet flowers. He is wearing a very cute sailor collar with a ribboned bow. Chester is already SOLD, however, check out Nancy's other folk art pieces on her blog at   vintagewhimsy.blogspot.com. But don't WAIT to make the purchase when you find that special one! These fun pieces sell FAST!

GARDEN STAMPINGS BY J LYNN CREATIONS

I think the "spoon in the garden" to mark your plants idea is really fun. I've seen a few of them around but I thought these were cuter than others I've seen. These are vintage spoons that have been flattened and then stamped in 4 different fonts for the different herbs! How sweet is that? You can purchase these at JLynnCreations.etsy.com. She has many other silverplated items as well.

SPRING/SUMMER BAG BY THE COTTAGE CUPBOARD

I have to confess I'm a bagaholic. You just can't have too many bags! So it's not surprising that I've added a bag to my list of fabulous finds. First of all I love the color and design of this one! And it is ROOMY with pockets on the inside for carrying all the many things you need, because what Mom and Grandma doesn't end up being the one to carry EVERYTHING! It is also very sturdy, an absolute MUST! Find this and more at thecottagecupboard.etsy.com.

INFANT BOY ROMPER BY BELLE HEIR

This is an absolutely precious site where you can purchase fine vintage clothing for babies and children.  The vintage clothing of yesteryear were made with special attention to detail in their pin-tucking, embroidery, hand stitching, button work, and smocking. Your child can have an elegant, one of a kind piece for a special occasion. Be sure not to miss this site! They would make sweet baby gifts as well. You can see these at belleheir.com.

                                                  POSTCARDS BY BELLE AND BOO

When I'm perusing the internet looking for those special finds I'm always drawn to sweet little" girly "things as I have two granddaughters. I thought of them when I found these very cute postcards. Even in this day of internet and cell phones it's nice to get some old fashioned "snail mail". I like to send my granddaughters cards and postcards in the mail so when they get home from school they can have a surprise greeting in the mail. These postcards are made on professionally printed glossy paper. The prints are so cute and any little girl ( or big girl ) would be happy to receive these darling postcards. They are so cute you could frame them. They also have pictures, pillows, and clothing. Find them at belleandboo.etsy.com.
