WISHING YOU A GLAD NEW YEAR IN 2013

                                                       A GLAD NEW YEAR

Where did the year go? Guess I say that every year.  Each year brings its own share of joys and sorrows and each year I look forward to beginning again, starting anew, and attempting to make the new year better than the last. I hope that in the past year I've learned from my mistakes, grown through the trials, allowed God to turn the bad into good in my life, and  have turned my problems into opportunities. I know that I've been blessed beyond measure and I'm grateful for having another year in which to look forward with new goals and new plans and new opportunities.

We're ringing in the New Year spending a quiet evening with kids and  grandkids around a warm fire ( it's going to be VERY cold outside ) and eating hearty bowls of  homemade lentil soup and homemade bean and ham soup. Some of the heartier ones will attend a local hockey game after our meal. Then we'll play some board games while snacking on treats  and roasting marshmallows in the fireplace and making s'mores.  At midnight we'll ring in the New Year of 2013 with non-alcoholic "wine".

Somewhere in the evening we'll make time to reflect and pray as a family asking God to lead us in the New Year and thanking Him for all of our blessings in 2012.

Thank you to all my blogging friends who have joined  me along on this blogging journey. I'm having great fun and hope to learn more about how to make my blog an enjoyable "read" in the days ahead. May you enjoy a blessed and "glad" New Year in 2013!
