He's sitting on a vintage silver tray.
The tray says "Merry Christmas" on it.
And to add to the fun of sipping my peppermint tea in snowman teacups, we just received our first snowfall of the season so we are assured of a white Christmas. I took a few photos from the inside of the house.
This photo overlooks the circle drive.
This photo looks out the living room window in the back of the house.
And apparently I have a "thing" for snowmen as I have collected several of them without thinking about it. This is probably my FIRST Snowman...a vintage little guy that my grandmother had.
And here are two more in a fun basket that has little lights all over it. Purchased from a very talented lady I know who makes many of these baskets.
This is an old vintage snowman that I found at a yard sale. Planned to sell it but decided to keep it.
A warm, cuddly sweet little guy I couldn't resist.
And a whimsical folk- art- like snow fella.
Not to mention a whole set of Mitford snowmen and matching lamp, snowman child's cups and plates.... and more!! And I really wasn't trying to collect snowmen! So it was fitting then when I ended up buying a snowman teapot/cup!
Apparently I have a snowman addiction as I took photos of more snow people I was going to buy. I don't have them YET but....
My snowfriends and I are joining the following tea parties:
Teacup Tuesday at Martha's Favorites
Teacup Tuesday at Artful Affirmations
I'm so jealous of your beautiful circle drive! Such a serene snowfall you had there. None yet in Oklahoma. Stay warm and cozy with that tea!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Meredith
It was a BEAUTIFUL snowfall! And the tea warms us while we watch the snow fall.
DeleteThe snow is so pretty out your windows and your snownem fit right in!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sylvia. I probably should have ventured outside for the photo shots but sometimes it's fun from the inside also.
DeleteHi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteWe had a heavy snowfall yesterday but to my hubby's delight it's gone today. He has to work in it and he doesn't enjoy that.
Your snowmen are so cute including your teacup set. Funny, isn't it, how we end up with a collection sometimes without realizing it. I had no idea that I would end up collecting SnowBabies. Thank you for linking up your very cute post with my Christmas tea.
Christmas blessings,
Sandi
I think once you get THREE of anything you already have a collection and then family keeps adding to it!
DeleteHello Sandy,
ReplyDeleteNo snow fall here...it is about 65-72 degrees lately, although it may cool to the high 50s...so snow may not happen for us just yet! Once in a while we get a little dusting.
Your pictures out doors look lovely! Since we don't live with snow here, I really like it! Do you?
Your snowman tea set is very sweet, and I think peppermint tea is the best one for it.
All your snowmen are sweet. It is fun to have a collection...even if it was accidental : )
Hugs,
Terri
I love the snow but the cold, not so much. Unfortunately they kind of go together. You just have to be ready to dress for the cold and it's not so bad.
DeleteMy family loves it when I collect ANYTHING because then they know what to get me for Christmas! Hah!
Wonderful snowman te 4 one! How cute! And perfect with your snow and other snowmen. I used to live in snow country, but had to move back to sea level after 30 years. Miss the first few snows, not the work of shoveling and snowblowing! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!
ReplyDeleteRuth
We're kind of spoiled here because we live in a city owned mansion where we act as Resident Directors. We don't do any of the shoveling so we can enjoy the snow without the work! My husband especially loves THAT part of it!
DeleteI came by for the Pause in Advent and I had SNOW much FUN visiting as I also love snowmen SNOW much! :) Thanks for such a nice time. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy Pause In Advent post was yesterday! Hope you can find that one. But happy you enjoyed my snowmen! ;)
DeleteWhat a cute snowman tea! You do have lots of darling snowmen! I have quite a few too, I like that you can keep them for decorations after Christmas is over. You have a beautiful yard with all the trees!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Nancy
Thanks, Nancy
DeleteWe have 11 acres around us with lots of trees. It's beautiful!
I love your cute little tea mug and all your snowmen decor. I'm so glad you kept that vintage one!!
ReplyDeleteI'm especially into vintage decor so I have to keep the old things! ;)
DeleteI see you are a fellow Minnesotan. You know about snow and snowmen. I started following your blog.
ReplyDeleteYour blog made me happy! Wonderful snowman you have to cup and teapot. Drinking tea from it makes anyone in a good mood! Although I have a lot of snowmen in my home. Hug Zinnia
ReplyDeleteVery cute snowmen and beautiful snow - love it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bernideen!
DeleteI love your snowman collection, and the two you've chosen but not yet purchased are adorable and I think you should treat yourself! Your snowman tea for one is adorable.
ReplyDeleteChristmas blessings, Beth
Thanks for the encouragement to buy, Beth!:)
DeleteYou have such lovely views! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for a little snow soon!
Peaceful blessings!
Thanks for stopping by! Snow is actually very nice. Hope you get some of it! ;)
DeleteOh Sandy, I'm so jealous of your beautiful snow. I don't know if we'll get any again this winter. So far, it's been too warm...very Un-December-ish! And I LOVE snowmen, too!! Yours are all very cute!
ReplyDeleteI was excited to see the snow because last December we didn't get ANY!We didn't have our usual white Christmas! VERY unusual! Just before the snowfall guys were even still GOLFING!
