I sometimes feel like the above statement! Just like a computer when it has too many tabs open, it slows everything down. When I feel this way my brain says to me, "too much information...will not compute, will not compute!" So I have to sit down, take a deep breath, and close the "tabs in my brain".
Despite the popular idea of multitasking, studies have shown that the brain can only focus on one thing at a time. Multitasking is essentially impossible. What really happens is that our minds flit from one task to the other. That is why there are so many accidents when people try to text while driving. It only takes a second of taking your mind off your driving to get into an accident!
This week focus on one thing at a time. Don't let your mind get distracted! It will help you stay calmer, less stressed, and more intentional when you don't have so many thoughts trying to compete for your mind's attention.
Enjoy the week! And stay warm!
