LIFE DISCONNECTED FROM THE INTERNET

Living in the moment makes the world look brighter...

On the lake with the grandkids

If you are a regular reader here, you may have noticed something... I've been MIA for a while. Yup I've been off the internet and spending time with people in REAL LIFE! Don't get me wrong. I LOVE blogging and keeping everyone informed of what's going on with us Hob Nobbers and what we are buying now for our next big event! And our Fall Sale is coming soon!! More on that later! I also have missed visiting other blogs and keeping in touch with my blogging friends.

But this has been one of our busiest summers yet with graduation parties including our oldest granddaughter's high school graduation just to name ONE event. There were also "graduation ceremonies" for two other grandkids. One "graduating" from kindergarden and one graduating from 8th grade to enter high school. Also many retirement parties, weddings,  funerals ; (, Gramma Camp, family Birthdays, and many many more special events! It has been a summer of SPECIAL EVENTS  to be sure!

Another highlight was our daughter, her husband, and their three year old daughter moving back to the states after living in China for almost 7 years! They lived with us for a while this summer while searching for a home and a car. It was almost like starting over for them. We were blessed to be able to spend so much time with them while they stayed with us! They are now settled in a town just a little over an hour away! Yeah!!
Our adorable granddaughter, Gili

And then we made a purchase. A Pontoon! So we also take time to go boating on Lake Pepin and the Mississippi River! In addition to fun times with family, taking in the beauty of this area is breathtaking!

We bought a used boat to make sure we actually use it! I think we're ready to upgrade!

Wisconsin on one side of the River and Minnesota on the other.

And somewhere in there I managed to find time to collect fun stuff for our Hob Nobber sale. Here are a couple of new items:

Ignore the mess around the chair. I'm still working out a nice place for photos.

Primitive Armoire

I was smitten by the fenders on this cutie. You could use this as a planter.

Lots of fun wood boxes!!

Cheese box turned sleigh

Moral of my summer story: Remember to take time to disconnect, live in the moment, and spend time with the people you love. I just wish I knew how full time bloggers do it all!

  1. Looks like you have had a lovely Summer. We have chosen time with our children instead of the internet too. The Tv has had a long quiet Summer too. Lovely finds, charming little sleigh.Pam xx
