My Hob Nobber business helps support women in business in third world countries as well as ministries reaching women and children. This year I chose Eden to receive a portion of my personal proceeds as well as supporting them through sales of their jewelry. We also received a donation of lovely antique/vintage treasures to sell with proceeds all going to Eden from a generous customer of our Hob Nobber sales. In all, $427.25 was raised from our event to benefit Eden! Thank you all for supporting this outreach through your purchases and donations!
Eden is an outreach to girls in China who have been forced into, or otherwise caught up in prostitution. Eden reaches out to them and offers a way out. You can read more about them and the outreach at< edenchina.org>. My daughter, Elissa, is in China with her husband, Jon, and she is working with this outreach. Jon teaches English to college age students. You can follow their blog at jonandliss.blogspot.com. The blog shares their journey in China and is" open to everyone" but if you sign up for their newsletter on their blog you will receive updates of their special work there.
