SPRING IS COMING

No matter how long the Winter, Spring is sure to follow.  Proverb

Every morning now I'm awakened by birds chirping outside my window. It's one of the sure signs of Spring and has me looking forward to this season of new beginnings! It's getting closer. So I began looking for ideas to brighten things up in our home.  What better way to add beauty to our home than to hang a pretty Spring Welcoming Wreath on the door or somewhere else in our home.

Here are some ideas for Spring Wreaths taken from my Pinterest  board, "WREATHS".  Do you see one YOU like here? If you can't find a favorite one here go to my Pinterest boards! You can click on each wreath to find instructions on how to make it. I'll be sharing MY OWN Spring Wreath with you later this month.  If you have your OWN wreath idea, I'd love to hear about it!
Here's a St Patrick's Day wreath made from assorted green ribbon.

Here's a cute one made from coffee filters from the Frugal Homemaker. This one might be better off inside the house.

How about a pussy willow wreath?

I love this fern wreath. It really pops in front of the black door.

Here's one for the gardener. Wouldn't this look cute on a garden shed?

Burlap flowers made into a heart wreath...so sweet.

This pink wreath SINGS of Spring!

Fresh greens with white flowers personalized with an initial. Spring Fresh!

                                                           Lovely flowered wreath.

And MY personal favorite... a lavender heart shaped wreath!

Tulips are my favorite flower and this tulip wreath is gorgeous. I just don't think it would last long.

These are just a few of my handmade wreath picks for Spring. There are many more that are so very pretty but I'm not sure how practical they would be. Maybe I'm thinking "TOO practically". But I DO want it to last a couple of months.

So are YOU decorating with a wreath this Spring?

    1. The fern wreath was another of my favorites. I would have to BUY one like that instead of making it. I'm afraid I'd mess up the ferns.

  3. I made wreaths before with old sheets that were cut into 2 inch strips...about two to three inches long...and then took a screwdriver, wrapped a strip of the sheet about the tip of the screwdriver and stick it into one of those hay type wreaths...continuing until the entire wreath was full...they were really pretty and have lasted over 20 years now...inside....I made two for my mom and she still has them!

    1. How clever. That sounds like something I could make! I might try one of these for inside the house.
